Introduction

 Hello All!

Thank you for coming to my “blog” I say this very loosely because I am far from a writer. I ramble, will probably have a spelling or grammar mistakes here and there, am very new to blogging and don’t really know what I am doing but I’ll do my best to keep it interesting! Now you know what you’re getting in to here is who I am behind the screen.

The best part of me is I am a wife and mom of 4. My family is my everything! My kids are 10, 7, 3, & 2 number three is my only girl. My husband and I just celebrated our 11 year wedding anniversary and he is my rock ❤️.

I love food and cooking!

I’m a wannabe homesteader. We have chickens and I just started the process of my garden.

I am in Florida and we as a family love being on the water and Fishing.

Now why The Invisible Illness Warrior as my name?

I have Crohn’s Disease and have been battling it since 2013. Just this past year -because how could 2020 be any better to me- I was diagnosed with Poly Arthritis (caused by the crohns’s), Fibromyalgia, Occipital Neuralgia which causes Migraines, and neuropathy in my hands and feet (worse in my feet). I am also a septic shock survivor, that was probably the scariest moment of my life! This happened in 2018 due to an infection in my bowels, most likely Crohn’s related. I also had bowel resection surgery in March 2019 and got bad abscess and infection during recovery. I believe these two things are what have brought on a lot of my more recent issues.

All of my daily struggles are invisible illnesses. That means when you see me out you can not tell I am sick by just looking at me. At the grocery store I look like any other tired and stressed mom in her 30’s trying to keep it together. When I am having a bad day, week, month - you get it, for the most part I can hide it and I’ve learned to do this very well. I fight a battle with my body daily, some days I’m stronger than others but every day I’m a WARRIOR! 💪🏼

I look forward to sharing my life with you as a mom living with daily illnesses. Cooking good food for my family 🍽 Learning to garden 🪴 And all of our wild fun as a family of 6!
